Fama Relations always processes your personal data fairly and lawfully. This entails the following guarantees:

  • Personal data is only processed in accordance with the described and legitimate purposes of this Privacy Statement.
  • Personal data is only processed to the extent that this is adequate, relevant and not excessive.
  • Personal data is only retained for as long as necessary to achieve the described and legitimate purposes set out in this Privacy Statement.

The necessary technical and security measures have been taken to minimise the risks of unlawful access to or processing of personal data. In the event of a breach of its IT systems, Fama Relations will immediately take all possible measures to limit the damage to a minimum.

Right of access/rectification/erasure of your personal data

Upon proof of your identity as a User, you have the right to obtain confirmation from Fama Relations as to whether or not your personal data is being processed. Where Fama Relations processes your data, you also have the right to obtain access to the personal data collected. If you wish to exercise your right of access, Fama Relations will act on this within one (1) month of receiving the request. The request must be made by registered mail or by sending an email to sam@famarelations.be.

Inaccurate or incomplete personal data can always be corrected. It is primarily up to the User to correct inaccuracies and incomplete data themselves. You can exercise your right to rectification by providing a supplementary statement to Fama Relations. Fama Relations will act on this within one (1) month of receiving the supplementary statement.

You also have the right to have your personal data erased by us without undue delay. You can only invoke this right to be forgotten in the following cases:

  • Where the personal data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was originally collected;
  • Where the personal data was collected on the basis of consent obtained and no other legal basis exists for the processing;
  • Where objection is made to the processing and there are no overriding compelling legitimate grounds for the processing;
  • Where the personal data has been unlawfully processed;
  • Where the personal data must be erased in order to comply with a legal obligation.

Fama Relations assesses whether any of the aforementioned cases apply.

Right to restriction of/objection to the processing of your personal data

The User has the right to obtain a restriction of the processing of their personal data:

  • During the period Fama Relations needs to verify the accuracy of the personal data, in the event of a dispute;
  • Where the data processing is unlawful and the User requests a restriction of processing instead of the erasure of the personal data;
  • Where Fama Relations no longer needs the User’s personal data for the purposes of processing, but the User needs the personal data in connection with a legal claim;
  • During the period Fama Relations needs to assess whether the grounds for erasing personal data apply.

The User also has the right, at all times, to object to the processing of their personal data. Fama Relations will then cease processing your personal data, unless Fama Relations can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing of your personal data that override the User’s right to object.

If the User wishes to exercise these rights, Fama Relations will act on this within one (1) month of receiving the request. The request must be made by registered mail or by email to sam@famarelations.be.

Right to data portability

Right to withdraw my consent/right to lodge a complaint

The User has the right, at any time, to withdraw their consent. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. In addition, the User has the right to lodge a complaint regarding the processing of their personal data by Fama Relations with the Belgian Commission for the Protection of Privacy.

If the User wishes to exercise this right, Fama Relations will act on this within one (1) month of receiving the request. The request must be made by registered mail or by email to sam@famarelations.be.
