FAQ.
What exactly does Fama Relations do?
Fama Relations is a corporate communication and reputation agency. Our core expertise covers media and stakeholder relations, reputation management, crisis communication, social media management, influencer relations and media training.
What do you mean by corporate communication?
Corporate communication connects what an organisation is, does and wants to achieve with the people who help determine its position and reputation. That covers expertise in media relations, stakeholder communication, thought leadership, CEO branding, crisis communication and corporate content creation. Not every project uses every discipline. But everything starts from the same clear line.
Do you only work for large companies?
No. We work for companies, organisations and brands with a clear corporate communication or reputation need. Size matters less than ambition, the complexity of the challenge, and a willingness to collaborate strategically.
Can we hire Fama Relations for a single project?
Yes. We work both long-term and on clearly defined projects, such as a press action, a strategic process, research, media training, a crisis plan, or reputation-sensitive communication. For every request, we look at which form of collaboration makes the most sense.
Do you also work in French and English?
Yes. Our team works in Dutch, French and English, and supports clients across Belgium and Luxembourg. We tailor copy, press relations and stakeholder communication to the language, region and media context.
How do you start a collaboration?
We start with an intake covering your organisation, question, target audiences and timing. We then draw up a proposal setting out the approach, roles, planning, budget and desired results.
How do you measure the results of communication?
That depends on the objective. We can measure things such as reach, the quality and tone of coverage, pick-up of key messages, share of voice, engagement, sentiment, stakeholder reactions and concrete opportunities. We report the numbers, but above all also insights and recommendations.
Can you help during a crisis?
Yes. We support organisations before, during and after a crisis. That ranges from risk analysis, crisis plans, templates, training and simulation to real-time monitoring, advice, statements, Q&As, press contacts and recovery communication.
Do you work together with internal communication teams or other agencies?
Absolutely. We often act as an extension of an internal team and also collaborate with other specialised partners. Within North by Northwest, we can connect directly with The Fat Lady and MediaMixer for content marketing, digital, events and audiovisual production.
What is the relationship between Fama Relations and North by Northwest?
Fama Relations is the corporate communication and reputation agency within North by Northwest. The group brings together complementary expertise, so that corporate communication, reputation, content, digital, events and production align better with one another.
Do you also do social media and influencer marketing?
Yes. Influencer relations are part of our core expertise in earned and stakeholder communication. We select and guide profiles based on relevance, credibility and audience fit. For social media, we develop strategy and corporate content, and manage communities and conversations.
How far in advance should we plan a media training?
Preferably a few weeks before an important interview or media moment. That leaves time for an intake, preparation and a tailored programme. In urgent situations, we look at what’s feasible and move as quickly as possible.
Still something unclear?
We’ll sort that out faster in a conversation than in another twelve FAQs.
